The Kingdom
There is no way to transform our selfish thought process to comprehend what it means to be Kingdom Minded, outside of a dynamic, personal Prayer Life. Remember back when you first gave your heart to Jesus and your time with Him was the most awesome time of your day. It was during those times that the Lord would speak to you and you were so childlike that you were only seeking Him to learn more about Him. It was during those times that your heart, being in the presence of God, was being transformed into a heart, mindful of the Kingdom. But as we continue to walk out this Christian life, our prayer life begins to be diluted from dynamically seeking the face of God, for who He is... to seeking the hand of God for what He can give. This is a ploy of the devil to get you to slide back into your selfishness. It is evidenced in the fact that your prayer life has been reduced to simply praying over the contents of your prayer list and will eventually result in you praying the prayer of fear (please God, don't let this happen), instead of the Prayer of Faith that brings about miracles.
There is nothing that takes the place of your personal prayer life, seeking the face of God, just to learn more about Him. It is in those times, just as in the beginning, that God will transform our thinking, in an ever-increasing way, to become Kingdom Minded. Isn't this what Jesus taught us to ask for, "Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth, just like it is in heaven"? "Seek first the Kingdom, God and His righteousness and THEN all these things will be added to you".

Do Not Despise the Good
In this world of sensationalism, materialism and humanism it is so easy to enter into a mindset of Despising what we have. It is the real reason that we open the door to sin, to begin with. The ONLY reason to long for something that we do NOT have, is because we allow ourselves to despise what we already have. This is true of our homes, our clothes, our autos and our spouses.
Take an evaluation of the Good that God has already provided for you. Then begin to live through the Revelation of His Goodness to you. As you do, His Blessing will be upon what you do because you are Honoring the Good He has given you, instead of despising it.

Pastor's Notes
Pastor’s Notes
Hey New Life Saints, isn’t it a Great Day to know Jesus? I believe that the Lord is entering us into a NEW DAY. This isn’t a day where we hope for the best while expecting the worst, BUT a Day where we are calling those things that are not as though they are. It is High Time to begin to Live by FAITH—THANKING God for all that He has made available instead of asking Him for it. It’s ALREADY FINISHED and it’s time to ENTER the reality of Faith. This must take place in our hearts and minds so that it can begin to transform our Prayer Life and our actions. Open your hearts to what God has already completed for us to LIVE IN…. TODAY!

Reader, are you unconverted, but do you desire to trust in the Lord Jesus? Then keep not back. Love invites you, the promises secure you success, the precious blood prepares the way. Let not sins or fears hinder you, but come to Jesus just as you are. Do you long to pray? Would you pour out your heart before the Lord? Keep not back. The mercy-seat is prepared for such as need mercy; a sinner's cries will prevail with God. You are invited, nay, you are commanded to pray, come therefore with boldness to the throne of grace.
Dear friend, are you already saved? Then keep not back from union with the Lord's people. Neglect not the ordinances of baptism and the Lord's Supper. You may be of a timid disposition, but you must strive against it, lest it lead you into disobedience. There is a sweet promise made to those who confess Christ--by no means miss it, lest you come under the condemnation of those who deny Him. If you have talents keep not back from using them. Hoard not your wealth, waste not your time; let not your abilities rust or your influence be unused. Jesus kept not back, imitate Him by being foremost in self-denials and self-sacrifices. Keep not back from close communion with God, from boldly appropriating covenant blessings, from advancing in the divine life, from prying into the precious mysteries of the love of Christ. Neither, beloved friend, be guilty of keeping others back by your coldness, harshness, or suspicions. For Jesus' sake go forward yourself, and encourage others to do the like. Hell and the leaguered bands of superstition and infidelity are forward to the fight. O soldiers of the cross, keep not back.

Servanthood
The Beauty of Servanthood was seen this weekend, as the family of New Life Church gathered to serve the Community of Abbeville. We had people handing out FREE cold drinks, we washed people's cars for FREE, we gave away FREE hotdogs, we prayed with people and just simply Loved on them. SO where was the beauty of it all? It was in the faces of the people who were serving.
As the body of Christ was cooking, washing, Ministering and serving--it was a JOY! There was excitment, there was anticipation and there was fulfillment. There is something BEAUTIFUL about entering into the heart of God and Jesus said it like this, "the greatest among you is servant to all".
This is so true, not only in the arena of Church, but in the arena of LIFE, because we are the Church. Saturday's outreach was followed by a great turn out Sunday and lives being changed forever at the altar. Hearts are open to a people who are willing to show forth the face of Jesus, especially in this generation. So thank you New Life Church. You brought Pure Light into Abbeville this weekend and those who were exposed will never be the same.

You are Unique
There is no other you.You are completely and utterly unique. It doesn't matter if you have the same color hair, eyes and skin as many others...None of them are YOU. They don't have the same parents as you and if they do, they were NOT born in the same order. You alone are you. God knows this because He alone created you. He didn't form an assembly line and have you created from the same mold as others--HE MADE YOU.
While you may be thinking, "I wish He would have made me different", He made you the way you are, on purpose. If you do not know what that purpose is, you are about to find out. He made you the way that you are so that you, being uniquely you, can Glorify God as you. When it comes to who you are, in God's eyes....it's you. He isn't measuring you against anyone else, so you musn't either. If you are thinking, "How can I glorify God?". Here it is.
Because everyone one of us do have this in common, we are all born into sin, none of us could glorify God. But because God was concerned about UNIQUE YOU, He sent His Son, Jesus, to pay a UNIQUE PRICE...for Your sin. The way that you can Glorify God, is by completly accepting that UNIQUE PRICE, repenting of your sins and receiving Jesus as your Lord. This only starts things in motion. Once we make Jesus our Unique Savior and Lord, OURS--Uniquely OURS, He begins to flood our souls with His Word and His Nature. As this process continues, our nature begins to be completely transformed. It's not that we are no longer unique, but we become Uniquely His.
This is how each one of us can bring Glory to God.

Faithfulness
The society in which we live, has an insatiable diet for something different. So much so that a regiment of normal seems to be become stale and "So Yesterday". Could it be that the Very Word of God would stand in stark contrast to that thinking? Just take some time to study Genesis' account of Noah. God spoke to him to build an Ark because God was going to destroy every breathing thing on earth. Then, the Word does not say that God spoke again to Noah until 120 years later.
Could it be that we already have everything we need, we just need to do it until God decides to tell us something different???!!! Faithfulness can NOT be overrated. The next thing that God told Noah was to go into the Ark with all of the animals and his family. They were then faithful in that until God spoke again and said, "Leave the Ark and multiply.
I Believe that the Lord is speaking to the Church again today and He is saying something Brand New, "Obey My Commands". This doesn't take New Teaching, it takes faithfulness.
